Lisa Lee LeslieLisa comes from an extremely talented & musical family background. She began learning the accordion at the age of four and from 6yrs, along with her brothers and sisters (except brother Jamie-Lee) studied piano with Eddie Harris (A Mus.T.C.L.), even her father John Leslie studied accordion and theory with Eddie Harris, so a good sound musical background had been established from an early age.

Lisa has won many competitions including, UK Accordion Championship on numerous occasions between the ages of 13 to 18.

She was also the first Accordionist to ever get through to the final in the local "Young Musicians of the Year" competition and she came second in the finals (beating the televised winner of the "BBC Young Musicians of the Year" who came 5th).

Lisa Lee LeslieLisa now teaches button and piano accordions, (free bass and stradella) and has recently been seen playing to packed houses as she has performed her new & exciting accordion programme which has included a delightful mixture of light-classical & continental musette pieces.

Her most recent performances have been at Guildford Accordion Club, Greenwich Accordion Club, Uxbridge Accordion Club and our own Eastbourne Accordion Festival.

Lisa is keen to play at more UK and European accordion clubs, festivals and concerts and is prepared to travel, most would agree having heard and seen her recently that she is a welcome, talented and extremely pretty fresh face on the UK accordion scene.…

When Lisa is in concert, she uses two accordions, one is a 5 row continental chromatic Russian B system accordion with stradella and free bass, this she uses for traditional accordion music, Argentinean tangos, classical — such as Bach, Handel, Scarlatti. She also plays a 4-row continental chromatic (pictured above) B system musette tuned accordion, which she uses solely for French music.
